First mares in foal to Champion 2 year old Siyouni

Three mares have been scanned in foal to the Aga Khan Studs’ new recruit Siyouni.

...

Siyouni started his 2 year old career in May to win four races, including the Gr1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère.

Three mares have been scanned in foal to the Aga Khan Studs’ new recruit Siyouni. Amongst them are Ponte Di Legno (Sinndar), a winning daughter of the Group 1 winner Porlezza and Ebiyana, whose dam is a half sister to the Irish Oaks winner Ebadiyla.

A Group 1 winner at two, Siyouni’s speed and precocity, matched to a pedigree which features one of the leading sires in France, Slickly, make him an attractive stallion in France. He was recently syndicated and Georges Rimaud, manager of His Highness the Aga Khan’s Haras de Bonneval, said: “We are delighted by the support Siyouni received. He has been very popular and the syndication was a success. This will give him a good start at stud.”

Siyouni defeated the subsequent Group 1 winners Lope De Vega, Dick Turpin, Buzzword and Beethoven.

Siyouni stands at Haras de Bonneval in France alongside classic sire Sinndar.
