2023 b. f. Sea The Moon - Behnasa (Dansili)
Trained by Francis-Henri Graffard
A granddaughter of the great Sea The Stars via his son Sea The Moon, Behrayna is out of Behnasa, a half-sister to three Stakes winners including Gr.1 Grand Prix de Paris hero Behkabad.
She made her debut as a three-year-old in a newcomers race at ParisLongchamp, pulling clear to win by a length. She was then moved quickly into Stakes company, and did not disappoint, defeating Zarak filly Zlata by two and a half lengths in the Listed Prix de la Seine and again by two lengths in the Gr.3 Prix de Royaumont.
Behrayna maintained her unbeaten record when stepped up to Group 2 company in the Prix de Malleret on 14th July at ParisLongchamp.
“She is a very talented filly and found her rhythm quickly tonight, but the pace was slow and then picked up pretty quickly in the false straight,” said winning jockey Mickaël Barzalona. “She showed she is a proper mile-and-a-half filly and was able to pick up straightaway when I asked. She's a promising filly and we'll be able to judge her in the Vermeille.”
Azimpour is a son of Azmiyna, a half-sister to Azamour and dam of five-time Group 1 winner The Autumn Sun as well as Stakes winning Siyouni filly Azada.
