Criterium de Lyon victrix is unbeaten. Second season sire Siyouni continues to fire on all cylinders and the stallion recorded another black-type success recently thanks to his daughter Trixia.

Trained in the south of France, two-year-old Trixia has made rapid progress. She easily won her maiden at Vichy by three lengths in August, and scored a second victory later in the month at Marseille-Borély. Moving up in class, the filly justified hot favouritism to beat the colts in the Listed Critérium de Lyon at Lyon Parilly on 24th September. The winning distance in this mile contest was two and a half lengths and Trixia looks to possess plenty of potential to tackle Group company in the future.

Out of five-time winner Tianshan (Lahint), Trixia was purchased for 85,000 Euros by Alain Décrion for owner Jean-Claude Seroul at Arqana’s yearling sale last year.

The filly is one of 35 individual winners for her sire Siyouni in 2015. With an impressive strike-rate of 42% winners to runners, the stallion has seen ten of his juvenile progeny pass the post first so far this season, including recent scorers Spectre and Discreet Hero and the highlight amogst his three-year-olds is of course H.H. Aga Khan’s triple Gr 1 victrix Ervedya.

The Bonneval sire counts six Stakes winners, and 13 Stakes performers, and is currently leading European second-season sire in terms of total prize money.
