Successful sales debuts for first crop foals

The first crop of foals by Champion Three-Year-Old Vadeni and Group 2 winning miler Erevann caught the eye of buyers at the recent Goffs, Tattersalls and Arqana sales.

Vadeni

The first foal by Vadeni to be sold at public auction made 48,000gns at the Tattersalls December Sale, and was swiftly followed by the second, a filly out of Group winner Zannda who sold for 200,000gns (almost 14 times her conception fee) to Paca Paca Farm from The Castlebridge Consignment. 

At Arqana, the dual Group 1 winner had six foals change hands, with the top price of €100,000 for a colt out of Val Bever consigned by Railton Sales - one of two Vadeni foals purchased by Broadhurst Agency on behalf of Alban Chevalier du Fau.

In total, Vadeni’s first crop averaged over €72,500. He will stand at a fee of €15,000 in 2026.

N25 f. Vadeni - Zannda, sold for 200,000gns

Erevann’s first foals made their debut at the Goffs November Sale and included a colt out of Stakes performer Giladah consigned by Springbank Way Stud, sold for €78,000 to SH Bloodstock.

The son of Dubawi and triple Group 1 winner Ervedya also had two foals catalogued at Tattersalls, where Paca Paca Farms purchased a colt out of Darkazinia for 120,000gns.

14 Erevann foals were catalogued for the Arqana Breeding Stock Sale, and all of them were sold, with the top price of €55,000 coming from AMLEC Bloodstock for the filly out of Tilda, consigned by Prime Progeny.

Erevann finishes 2025 with an average foal sale price of over €37,000 – 4.6 times his covering fee of €8,000.
