Gilltown Stud sire edges closer to 100 milestone and achieves first Gr.1 win as broodmare sire. SEA THE STARS is having an excellent season both as a sire and as an emerging broodmare sire.

The Gilltown Stud resident started this year on 86 lifetime Stakes winners. His tally now stands at 95 as he edges ever closer to the milestone of 100 – with the latest of them the Aga Khan Studs-bred TARIYANA, who won the Gr.3 Prix Chloé at Chantilly on Sunday by a length and a half after making all the running.

Another of his 2022 Stakes winners, Group winner and Classic-placed filly Emily Upjohn, also bids to become his third Gr.1 winner of the season (and 18th lifetime) in the King George IV and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.

Meanwhile last Thursday, Frankel colt Onesto became SEA THE STARS’ first top level winner as a broodmare sire when landing the Gr.1 Grand Prix de Paris, and on Sunday My Prospero (Iffraaj) won the Gr.2 Prix Eugène Adam just ahead of ZARAK colt Zagrey. The dam of My Prospero, My Titania, has also had Stakes success with My Oberon (Dubawi) and My Astra (Lope De Vega) this year.

In total, SEA THE STARS is now the broodmare sire of 18 Stakes winners, 10 of them winning in 2022.
