The only yearling colt by Sinndar available at the Goffs February Sales was knocked down for €72,000 yesterday, making him the top priced yearling of the sale. The good looking brown colt, consigned by Jockey Hall Stud, was the object of some fierce bidding before being knocked down to Jim Murphy of Redpender Stud. His new owner commented:

...

“I have bought him for myself to resell later in the year. He is a nice, athletic horse with lovely scope to him and his sire was a marvellous racehorse, who fought every battle going and won them all. There will be no recession with his stock.”

The colt is the second produce of the winning and Stakes placed dam Sweet Emotion, sold for €110,000 two lots later. His sale is an auspicious start for Champion racehorse of 2000 Sinndar’s new career, and reflects the popularity he has attracted since being retired to stud.
