Mares covered during top Australian sire’s first season at Bonneval will be an attraction.

Aga Khan sires Redoute’s Choice and Sea The Stars promise to draw buyers attention at Goffs November sale. Each stallion is represented by a pair of mares in foal, while Sea The Stars also has a quartet of foals from his third generation of progeny.

The dominant Australian sire, most successful stallion son of Danehill and father of over 100 Stakes winners, Redoute’s Choice stood for his first Northern Hemisphere season in 2013. The first progeny from this Normandy stay will be offered for sale at Goffs in the form of two in-foal mares.

The Aga Khan draft will feature two mares in foal to Champion racehorse Sea The Stars and four of his foals will go through the ring.

Part of the Paulyn dispersal, Gr 1 Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp victrix Gilt Edge Girl (Monsieur Bond) was covered by Redoute’s Choice in February. From a precocious and speedy family, Gilt Edge Girl is a half-sister to Gr 2 Flying Childers Stakes winner Godfrey Street (Compton Place) and a granddaughter to Gr 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes runner-up Tarwiya.

From the same vendor and also carrying a Redoute’s Choice foal, Piste Noire (Diesis) is a full sister to multiple Group scorer Three Valleys, out of a half-sister to the exceptional broodmare Hasili (Kahyasi).

Sea The Stars’ two broodmares in foal both represent top-class Aga Khan Studs families. Behkiyra (Entrepreneur) is a daughter of Prix de Diane heroine Behera (Mill Reef) who is the granddam of Gr 1 scorer Behkabad (Cape Cross), while Shawara (Barathea) is expecting a Sea The Stars half-sibling to dual Group 1 victrix Shareta (Sinndar).

Sea The Stars is fast making his name as a stallion and now boasts eleven successes including a Group 3 victory from My Titania. Among his foals catalogued at Goffs are a half-brother to globe-trotting dual Group 1 winner and sire Linngari (lot 923), a daughter of Group 3 victrix and Gr 1 Irish 1000 Guineas second Ardbrae Lady (lot 829) and a colt out of a half sister to champion German juvenile Eagle Rise, closely related to Epalo (lot 878).
