Over 600 people viewed new recruits Vadeni and Erevann. The team at Haras de Bonneval was delighted to welcome a record crowd as part of the Route des Etalons on Saturday 20th January.

New recruits Vadeni and Erevann proved a popular attraction, parading in front of over 600 visitors throughout the day and showing themselves impeccably in the winter sunshine, despite temperatures below zero.

They were joined by Zarak, who since retiring in 2018 has risen rapidly through the French stallion ranks, and at midday by leading sire Siyouni, responsible for three Group 1 winners in 2023 alone.

The sale of Vadeni caps, Erevann wrist warmers and Aga Khan Studs anniversary books, DVDs and USBs also raised a total of €920 for the charity Au-Delà des Pistes, an amount which will fund the retraining of an ex-racehorse for six months.

Mégane Martins, who was representing the charity, commented: “We are delighted and warmly thank the Aga Khan Studs team for this initiative as well as all the people who participated.

“With more than 600 visitors, we also benefited from great visibility and had the opportunity to talk to many people from many different backgrounds, who were perhaps unaware of how our association works.”
