Daylami’s 2nd crop of 2yos has achieved a perfect score so far this season, with three winners from three runners in the last four days, including Royal Ascot bound Perfect Choice. Defeating two well fancied newcomers, Perfect Choice won a competitive Newbury maiden over six furlongs yesterday, prompting his trainer Brian Meehan to say: “This is one of our very best colts, who is mentally very forward, and if he comes out of it all right we’ll certainly look at the Chesham.”
In France on Monday, The Aga Khan owned and bred Kerasha won unextended by two lengths first time out. Her trainer Alain de Royer Dupré told the Racing Post: “Kerasha has been showing a lot of speed at home. She is a precocious sort, and I think she could turn out to be top class. Kerasha showed a lot of speed in her first serious gallop. From the very start I realised she was something out of the ordinary.”
