Mushajer, trained by Les Eyre, won the €51 000 Mijas Cup on Sunday in Spain. The 4 year old Linamix gelding out of Luxurious won the 2400m contest by one and a half lengths under jockey Paul Fredericks. This was the second Spanish win for Mushajer following his transfer from Marcus Tregoning's yard from where he broke his maiden at Lingfield last March. He was subsequently purchased by Elmhurst Bloodstock at the July HIT sale in Tattersalls for 62 000gns for a syndicate of British owners.
