Leading sire in France by prize money won, Linamix has also proven himself a top class broodmare sire. Bred by Lagardere Elevage, the dual Group 1 winner Valixir was the result of a Trempolino covering of the Linamix mare Vadlamixa. He won his prep race for Deauville's Prix Jacques le Marois when cantering out the easy winner of the Group 3 Prix Messidor at Maisons Laffitte on Sunday. It is hoped that Valixir can add the Group 1 Deauville race to his victories in the Prix d'Ispahan and the Queen Anne Stakes.

Linamix's other Group performers this year include Prix Ganay runner up Reefscape, Starpix, Vol de Nuit, Fracassant, Live Life and Lord du Sud. Updated 27/07/2005.
