Kilworth was knocked down to David Loder for 360 000 guineas at the Tattersalls Horses in Training sale in Newmarket yesterday.

The 2 year old son of Kalanisi out of the Stakes placed Perugino mare Perugia, was runner up in the Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes after winning his maiden and is now a likely contender for the UAE Derby. While Loder was able to confirm that the horse was indeed destined for Dubai, he did not reveal on whose behalf he had been purchased. His purchase price is the 2nd highest amount ever paid for a 2 year old colt at Tattersalls.

Lavender Rose's victory in a 1 mile maiden at Navan yesterday made her the 10th individual winner for the first crop of Kalanisi, which also includes dual winner and Listed runner up John Cena. Updated 27/10/2005.
