Intercontinental (by Danehill out of the Kahyasi mare Hasili) won the Grade 3 Royal Heroine Invitational Stakes yesterday at Hollywood Park in the US. Owned and bred by Juddmonte Farms, this 5 year old mare has rarely finished unplaced and beat Ticker Tape and Etoile Montante to win last year's Grade 1 Matriarch Stakes in fine style.

Meanwhile, the winning Grand Lodge colt Shedarian, from the family of Kahyasi's Group 1 winning daughter Choc Ice, realised €70 000 at Goffs France Summer Sale last Thursday. Updated 04/07/2005.
