Redoute's Choice is the sire of Gr.3 Prix Chloé winner Ibiza.

Redoute’s Choice Bonneval shuttles reap rewards Winner of the Group 3 Prix Chloé at Chantilly on Sunday, Ibiza highlighted the Aga Khan Studs move to bring her sire Redoute’s Choice to stand for two seasons at their Haras de Bonneval. Ibiza is a member of the multiple Australian Champion Sire’s first Northern Hemisphere crop, as the son of Danehill joined the Aga Khan Studs Normandy roster in 2013 and 2014.

Owned and bred by Viktor Timoshenko, Ibiza is a very progressive filly. She made a winning racecourse debut at Saint-Cloud on 1st May, and took second place recently in the Listed Prix Mélisande before opening her Group account in fine style in Sunday’s Prix Chloé.

Delighted with the performance, trainer Nicolas Clément commented that the filly has not yet reached her limits, and she will now be aimed towards the Group 2 Prix de la Nonette during Deauville’s August meeting.

Ibiza is already the second European-sired Group winner by Redoute’s Choice, as Gold Luck, the Wertheimer Brothers’ half-sister to Goldikova, lifted the Group 3 Prix Vanteaux earlier this year and finished third in the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat on sunday.

Redoute’s Choice boasts impressive statistics for his Haras de Bonneval coverings, with 42% winners to runners in Europe this year.

Ibiza is out of winning Kingmambo mare Olga Prekrasa, who has already produced last year’s Group 1 Prix Jean Prat winner Zelzal, by Gilltown Stud sire Sea The Stars.

The Aga Khan Stud sires were also to the fore during Sunday’s Chantilly programme thanks to juvenile filly Sully, by the Haras de Bonneval’s Siyouni, who ran out the comfortable winner of the Prix de Valgenceuse newcomers’ event.
