Hidden Hope emerged as another exciting prospect from Daylami’s first crop of three year olds when taking the Listed Cheshire Oaks at Chester yesterday. Hidden Hope was soon settled in second position, tracking the long time leader Menhoubah. She made her move in the final bend, lengthening in good style to take the lead a furlong out, eventually passing the post two and a half lengths clear of her nearest rival.

The well bred half sister to Group I winner Rebecca Sharp had most recently been a fast finishing second in an eighteen runner maiden over a mile at Windsor last time out. Trainer Geoff Wragg stated after the race: “I’ve got her in the Ribblesdale (at Royal Ascot) and I am hoping that’s the right race for her.”

Hidden Hope is the latest Stakes winner from what is proving to be a high class crop of three year olds for second season sire Daylami, including the likes of Grey Swallow, Bull Run, Thajja and Tamarillo.
