Grey Swallow was rewarded for his wide margin victories as a two year old by lifting the ITBA two year old of 2003 award. From Daylami’s first crop of foals, Grey Swallow ran out the ten length winner of a Galway maiden before taking the Group III Killavullan Stakes by eight lengths in October. The highest rated two year old in Ireland, he is now widely recognised as a leading contender for the 2,000 Guineas.

The ITBA Awards ceremony also saw both Dalakhani and Alamshar become joint winners of the Three Year Old of the year category. A winner of four Group I races including the Prix du Jockey-Club and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, Dalakhani’s only defeat came at the hands of Alamshar in the Irish Derby, who went on to triumph over an exceptional field in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes.
