Grey Swallow was awarded a rating of 119 by the International Classifications, the highest rating of any two year old in Ireland.

The unbeaten Daylami two year old colt was rated just two pounds below French Group I winner Bago, and equal to Cartier two year old filly of the year Attraction. He won both his starts by ten and eight lengths, including the latter at Group III level, and is now generally regarded as a leading Classic prospect for 2004. Grey Swallow was also the highest rated two year old by a first season sire.

Daylami’s other notable runners from a highly promising first crop of two year olds included Listed winner Bay Tree, as well as Group I placed Day Or Night and Group II placed Birthday Suit.
