Goldwaki winning Gr3 the Prix du Lys, he remains unbeaten in four starts.

Dalakhani, Sinndar and Azamour all on Chantilly scoresheet. While HH Aga Khan’s fillies Sarafina and Rosanara stole the show when taking the first two places in the Gr 1 Prix de Diane on Sunday, the Aga Khan sires also enjoyed a highly successful day at Chantilly. Dalakhani’s son Goldwaki won the Gr 3 Prix du Lys, Azamour’s progeny won one handicap and finished second in another, as well as Rosanara’s Gr 1 second for her sire Sinndar.

Goldwaki becomes Dalakhani’s 12th individual Group winner and he looks certain to progress after his impressive performance to lift the mile and a half Prix du Lys on his first attempt in Group company. The son of a half-sister to dual Breeders’ Cup heroine Goldikova is now unbeaten in four outings as a three-year-old, including the Listed Coupe des 3 Ans at Lyon Parilly. Pierre-Yves Bureau, racing manager for the Wertheimer Brothers, indicated that the colt is now likely to be supplemented into the Gr 1 Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp on 14th July.

Eleanora Duse winning the LR Lord Weinstock Memorial Stakes by 2 1/4 lengths.

Sinndar’s daughter Rosanara won the Gr 1 Prix Marcel Boussac as a juvenile and was an unlucky fourth in the Gr 1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches last month. She put that disappointment behind her to take an excellent second in the Gr 1 Prix de Diane and will now step up in distance to contest the Gr 1 Irish Oaks.

Gilltown Stud’s Azamour took his share of honours thanks to Sidney Girl, winner of the Prix de la Musée de la Renaissance handicap. The three-year-old filly was winning her second race and has also been placed in seven further contests. Azamour had sired the stakes winner Eleanora Duse earlier in the week when she comfortably won the Listed Lord Weinstock Memorial Stakes by 2 ¼ lengths at Newbury. He cemented a successful weekend when No Explaining, his three-year-old daughter, took 3rd place in a Listed contest over 6 ½ furlongs at Woodbine on Sunday.
