A half sister to Grand Lodge, the ever consistent Daylami filly La Persiana (La Papagena by Habitat) won the Listed Upavon Fillies Stakes at Salisbury yesterday. La Persiana has never been out of the first 3 in Group or Listed company, and challenged 2 furlongs out to lead home Bon Nuit and Something Exciting over the 10 furlong trip. Congratulations to owner-breeders Plantation Stud, and to trainer William Jarvis on their well deserved success. Updated 11/08/2005.
