Sea The Stars has made a flying start to his new career at stud with five of his first mares testing in foal. Amongst those that have tested positively are 2009 Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet winner, Alpine Rose and Bordighera, the dam of multiple Group 1 winners George Washington and Grandera.

Centreofattention the full-sister of dual Group 1 winning two-year-old Holy Roman Emperor, is also in foal, as is Sewards Folly, who has produced the useful Group 2 winning sprinter, Sayif. The fifth mare that has been scanned in foal is Zarkasha, the dam of the unbeaten five time Group 1 winner, Champion filly Zarkava.

Sea The Stars retired to the Aga Khan’s Gilltown Stud at the end of an unbeaten three-year-old campaign in 2009 that saw him win six Group 1 races in succession culminating in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
