Linngari colt out of the Group 1 winning mare Indochine

A son of a Gr 1 winning mare is among the first offspring of the Haras de Bonneval’s globetrotting sire. A colt out of Brazilian Gr 1 winner Indochine (Special Nash) is among a quintet of foals born to dual Gr 1 scorer Linngari during the month of February. The bay foal was born at the Haras de Bonneval in Normandy, where the Aga Khan-bred Linngari retired to stud last year after an illustrious racing career in the colours of Rupert Plersch. Plersch is the owner of the young broodmare Indochine, who gave birth at the Aga Khan’s stud on 24th February.

Just a day earlier, the same owner’s Syllable (Halling), a winner in Germany, produced a chestnut filly also by Linngari. Stud manager Georges Rimaud was pleased with both foals and commented: “these are two nice individuals, solid, correct and of good size”.

Gestüt Paschberg’s Mamourina (Barathea), is the dam of the very first foal by Linngari. Her chestnut son was born on 16th February and was described by her breeder Sybille Kirstein as a “beautiful, big and lively colt”. The colt is a half-brother to Listed performer Maybe.

Precocious Chopassing, a daughter of Indian Rocket who won in March of her juvenile season, produced a solid bay son by Linngari on 21st February. Linngari’s first quintet of foals is completed by a filly out of Anabaa mare Acora, born on 24th February.
