The first foal of juvenile Group 1 winner Siyouni was born on 14 January.

Bonneval’s resident had a filly born on Saturday 14 January.

The first product of Siyouni was born on Saturday 14 January at Haras du Mezeray. The bay filly is the second product of her dam Fair West, a winning full sister to Group 2 placed Kalgoorlie (Gone West).

Siyouni has proved very popular for his first season at stud in 2011, covering a full book of mares. Amongst the 91 mares in foal are some illustrious pedigrees, such as daughters of Group 1 winners Porlezza and Zalaiyka, the dam of Group 1 winner Cirrus Des Aigles and half sisters to Natagora, Monsun or Bachelor Duke.

As a racehorse, this son of Pivotal was rated the best French two-year-old of his generation. His first year on the track culminated when he won the Gr.1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère, defeating subsequent Group 1 winners Dick Turpin, Lope De Vega and Beethoven. Siyouni stands alongside leading French sire Sinndar at Haras de Bonneval.
