Born To Sea, the Invincible Spirit half-brother to Galileo and Sea The Stars has his first two-year-olds in 2016.

Sea The Stars three-quarter brother is an exciting young sire. The first juveniles of the beautifully bred Born To Sea, himself a Stakes winner and Group 1 runner-up, are eagerly awaited on the track this season. Following an enthusiastic reception for his yearlings at public auction last year, the young sire will be represented by some exciting two-year-olds at forthcoming breeze-up sales.

On 6th April, the Tattersalls Ireland catalogue at Ascot features a pair of Born To Sea juveniles; a half-sister to five winners from the family of Black Minnaloushe and Pennekamp, and a colt out of a winning half-sister to Stakes scorers Regime and Salut d’Amour.

A daughter of Born To Sea, related to Classic winners Chicquita and Alexandrova, is set to be offered at Tattersalls Craven Sale, while the Goffs Doncaster breeze-up sale will see four of his juveniles go under the hammer. These include a son of Listed victrix Lady Of Kildare, and a filly out of the half-sister to Group winner Glaswegian.

In May, the Gilltown Stud stallion will be represented by two colts in the Arqana catalogue at Deauville, one from the family of Gr.1 winners Single Empire and Court Of Honour and another hailing from the family of Green Desert.

With juveniles already registered in training with top handlers such as Richard Hannon, John Gosden and Charlie Hills, hopes are high that Born To Sea can emulate his illustrious brothers with success at stud. The son of Invincible Spirit and Arc heroine Urban Sea is a three-quarter brother to champion racehorse and Classic sire Sea The Stars (Cape Cross), and a half-brother to the legendary Galileo, and Black Sam Bellamy, both by Sadler’s Wells.

Born To Sea enjoyed a successful racing career himself, with victory in the Listed Blenheim Stakes on his debut at two years old, followed by numerous places at Group level, most notably when runner-up in the Gr.1 Irish Derby.

Born To Sea stands alongside Sea The Stars at the Aga Khan’s Gilltown Stud in Ireland, for a fee of 10,000 Euros.
