Four-year-old becomes the 14th Group winner for Zarak. Zarakem made a winning seasonal debut at ParisLongchamp on Sunday 7th April. Placed in mid-division during the race, he accelerated easily despite heavy terrain to win the Gr.2 Prix Harcourt by a length and a half.

It was a sixth career victory in nine starts for the four-year-old, who is trained by Jérôme Reynier and was already a dual Listed winner. Bred by Jean-Paul Cayrouze, he races in the colours of Sofiane Benaroussi, who purchased Zarakem in association with Haras d’Etreham for €500,000 at last year’s Arqana Arc Sale. He could now be aimed at the Gr.1 Prix Ganay.

Zarakem is the 14th Group winner for Zarak, who was represented last month by Gr.3 Prix Exbury hero Haya Zark.
