H.H. the Aga Khan’s Haras de Bonneval in Normandy opens its gates to the public on Saturday 30th January when stallions Sinndar and Linngari will be shown.
Sinndar
Proven sire Sinndar enjoyed yet another successful season in 2009 as his juvenile daughter Rosanara, from his first French-born crop, lifted the Gr.1 Prix Marcel Boussac. Flagbearer Youmzain demonstrated his longevity when filling the runner-up spot for a third consecutive year in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, behind champion Sea The Stars. Dual Derby winner and Arc hero Sinndar was the leading French sire in 2009 by average winnings per runner (€52,468/runner).
The tough and versatile dual Group 1 winner Linngari took up stud duties at Bonneval in 2009 and his first foals are eagerly awaited in the coming weeks.
Special open day prices will be offered for nominations booked on this date, and visitors will also have the opportunity to enter a draw to win a free nomination to both sires
Linngari
The gates of the stud, which is located at Le Mesnil Mauger in Normandy, will open from 10am until 4pm, with brunch served throughout the day.
This event is part of an “Open Weekend” for many leading Normandy studs, which offers breeders an ideal and convenient opportunity to visit some of the region’s top stallions over the weekend.
