Darasim provided Kahyasi with a third Group victory this season when taking the Group III Prix Gladiateur at Longchamp yesterday afternoon. In a manner identical to that of his Group II Prix Kergorlay victory three weeks earlier, Darasim lead from the start, quickening early in the straight to win easily by two lengths. This second consecutive victory has prompted connections to consider the Prix du Cadran (Group I) on Arc weekend as Darasim’s next target.

Darasim, who was bred by the Aga Khan Studs, has now won and been placed several times in Group and Listed company. His Deauville success in the Prix Kergorlay closely followed Kalabar, another son of Kahyasi’s, win in the Group II Prix Guillaume d’Ornano nine days earlier.
