Piffle, owned by Lord Harrington, and the dam of the Prix de la Nonette winner Pearly Shells, is one the book of mares in foal to Sinndar after his second season at stud. The three year old filly Pearly Shells, by Efisio and out of the Shirley Heights mare Piffle, was the impressive winner of this Group III contest, beating the French Oaks runner up Dance Routine and the Group I Prix Saint Alary winner Marotta. Already a Group II winner after her victory in the Prix de Malleret in June, she will now be aimed at the Prix Vermeille, before a possible tilt at the Prix de l’Opera.
