Champion Stakes and Breeders' Cup Turf winner Kalanisi has made an excellent start to his stud career, with his first 10 mares scanned in foal on 13th March.
Kalanisi has attracted a quality book of mares in his first season, and among those already in foal are:
Daltawa, dam of Emirates World Champion Daylami; Sidelined, half-sister to Belmez; Lasy Nasrana, half-sister to Janet (Yellow Ribbon Handicap, Ramona Handicap); Perugia, from the immediate family of Gossamer and Barathea.
Other mares booked to Kalanisi for his first season at stud include:
Heed My Warning (Moyglare Stud Stakes runner-up); Half Hitch, a daughter of Champion two-year-old filly and multiple Group 1 winner Marling; Penza, a half-sister to Italian Derby winner White Muzzle; Questabelle, a half-sister to Prix de l'Opera winner Stagecraft.
