Azamour’s first foals to be sold at public auction were highly sought-after at Goffs. Among the 16 foals presented at the November Foal Sale, 11 were sold for a total of 807,000€. This figure represents an average of 73,000€ which is almost triple their sire’s fee.

Three foals reached the 100,000€ mark and the hammer came down at 120,000€ for Lot 1184, the most expensive of Azamour’s produce. The bay colt is a son of Tekindia (Indian Ridge), a winner and placed in France, who is from the family of Gr.1 winner and sire Ocygian. The April-born colt was consigned by Abbeville and Meadow Court Studs and was purchased by Kennycourt Stud.

Timmy Hyde of Camas Park Stud spent 105,000€ to acquire the second foal of three-time winner Gemini Diamond (Desert King). This February-born son of Azamour was the best of four foals presented by Hart Livery Farm and Stud.

Another February foal attracted a bid of 100,000€ from Pier House Stud. Lot 1068, out of a daughter of Taufan, is the half-brother to five winners and comes from the family of Gr.1 winners Sayf El Arab and The Duke.

Azamour’s most successful daughter was Lot 1204, sold for 95,000€ to the BBA Ireland. The second foal of Wild Clover (Lomitas), a winner as a juvenile in France, was presented by Jockey Hall Stud. Her third dam Triple First is a multiple Group winner.
