Al Raya

A trio of promising fillies for Siyouni and Sea The Stars. Siyouni and Sea The Stars were represented by a trio of promising Stakes winners this weekend. The Haras de Bonneval sire has been enjoying a fine season with his crop of juveniles and counts 16 two-year-old winners to date. His daughter Al Raya earned a well-deserved first Stakes success with a front running performance in the Gr.3 Prix d’Arenberg over 5 furlongs at Chantilly. The most consistent filly has always finished in the money in her six starts since June. Bred by Ed’s Stud, she had topped the Goffs UK Breeze Up Sale earlier this year when selling for £450,000 to Stroud/Coleman. The Longways Stable graduate is trained by Simon Crisford and carries the colours of Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Lavender's Blue

Sea The Stars was represented by a couple of lightly raced yet promising fillies in Lavender’s Blue and Soudania. The former was having her fourth start in the Gr.3 Atalanta Stakes at Sandown and showed an impressive turn of foot to win the mile contest under hands and heels. Lavender's Blue, who is owned and bred by Benny Adersson, could now be aimed at the Gr.1 Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket in October. Her dam Beatrice Aurore has a yearling colt by Sea The Stars’ dual Group 1 winning son Harzand.

Soudania

At ParisLongchamp's reopening on Sunday, Soudania was stepping up in class in the Listed Prix de Liancourt. The three-year-old won decisively when she found the opening and registered her third consecutive win in four starts. Owned by her breeder Wertheimer & Frère, she is bred on the same Sea The Stars x Monsun cross as Group 1 winner and sire Sea The Moon.

Sea The Stars is currently third leading European sire and counts 24 Stakes performers in 2019.
