Cherry Mix won Sunday's Group 1 Gran Premio del Jockey Club at San Siro, Milan by 2 lengths to pick up his first Group 1 win, becoming the 10th individual Group 1 winner for his sire, Linamix. His victory followed hot on the heels of Reefscape's Group 1 win at Longchamp on Arc weekend.

Runner up in the Arc last year, Cherry Mix was purchased by Godolphin from his breeders, the Lagardère family, and has earnt almost £500 000 sterling in prize money to date. Updated 17/10/2005
