The Aga Khan family currently leads the French owners’ standings when earnings from representatives of HH the Aga Khan and his daughter Princess Zahra are cumulated. Recent weeks have been particularly successful in number of winners for the Aga Khan. Last year’s Prix de la Rochette winner Visionario was back in the winners’ enclosure following the Listed Prix de Saint-Patrick at Deauville in early July and Sageburg is now unbeaten in two starts after his two-length win in the Class B Prix du Grand Palais on Longchamp’s Grand Prix de Paris card. Behind Sageburg on his first outing was Darsha, a half-sister by Sakhee to Prix du Jockey-Club winner Darsi and she lost her maiden tag in her next race at Clairefontaine. Three-year-old Linamix filly Caribena won on her debut at Chantilly, drawing six lengths clear of the field with the runner up.
