Darasim wins Gr II Prix Kergorlay for Kahyasi
Darasim became Kahyasi’s second Group II winner in nine days when storming home in the II Prix Kergorlay at Deauville yesterday.
Darasim became Kahyasi’s second Group II winner in nine days when storming home in the II Prix Kergorlay at Deauville yesterday. Already a Stakes winner and placed twice in Group company, Darasim lead from pillar to post, making light of his eight rivals and stretching his lead in the straight to win by a long looking three lengths.
Darasim’s trainer Mark Johnston commented after the race: “It was a brilliant race and this was a big step up in class.”, while jockey Joe Fanning added: “Darasim was always going well and quickened when I asked him to in the straight.”
Darasim’s victory follows Kalabar’s Group II success last weekend in the Prix Guillaume d’Ornano.
