Carlotamix was officially awarded the title of Champion 2 Year Old in France at a ceremony in Paris. Jointly organised by France Galop and racing publication Courses & Elevages, the Awards Ceremony held on Sunday at Auteuil honoured the best horses in France in 2005.

The unbeaten son of Linamix, a 3 length winner of the Group 1 Critérium International, was bred by Jean Luc Lagardère out of his Olympio mare Carlitta, a winner in the USA. Now owned by His Highness the Aga Khan, he remains in training with André Fabre in 2006 and carries an entry for the Irish Derby at the Curragh.
