By Frankel out of Stakes winner Zaykava (by Siyouni out of Zarkava), Zayida represents a reverse of the cross that has recently been successful with Classic heroine Zarigana. She is a half-sister to Zaydann. 

Zayida ran twice as a juvenile, breaking her maiden at Saint-Cloud in October.

She made her 2026 debut in the Gr.3 Prix Vanteaux, a race in which she finished fourth. Two weeks later she was back to winning ways at Chantilly, before achieving her first black-type success in the Prix Finlande, which she won by five lengths – confirming herself as a candidate for the Gr.1 Prix de Diane.
