Calasita is a daughter of Zarak and Calayana, making her a half-sister to the 2025 World’s Best Racehorse Calandagan.

She finished down the field on heavy ground at Deauville on her only outing as a juvenile. However, she made a winning three-year-old debut at Saint-Cloud the following spring, finishing half a length ahead of next time out winner Spirit Of Zarak. After a second-place finish behind subsequent Stakes winner Dispatches at Compiègne, Calasita became the third black-type performer for her dam when winning the Listed Prix de Thiberville at ParisLongchamp in June.
