February sale entries have racing and breeding promise.
A filly from the close family of Darshaan is one highlight of the Aga Khan Studs six-strong consignment for the forthcoming Goffs February Sale.
Dimoya, an unraced daughter of Halling, comes from one of her breeder’s most prestigious families. The three-year-old is a granddaughter of Dalara (Giant’s Causeway), a Group 2 winner and the dam of dual Group 1 scorer Daliapour, while her third dam Delsy is half-sister to both champion racehorse and influential sire Darshaan and prolific broodmare Darara, dam of no less than four Group 1 winning offspring.
Another blue-blooded unraced filly, Adjala (Shamardal) is the first foal of three-time winner Adjaliya who is by successful broodmare sire Sinndar. She hails from the same maternal line as Group 1 winner and sire Alamshar.
Equally well-bred is the colt Velesini (Rock Of Gibraltar), out of a half sister to Gr.1 Grand Prix de Paris winner Valanour and Prix de Diane victrix Vereva.
The fourth Aga Khan entry for this sale is placed filly Razia (Marju) whose granddam Rayseka (Dancing Brave) finished second in the Gr.1 Irish St Leger and is second dam to Irish 2000 Guineas runner up Rayeni.
From a talented dual-purpose family, Haraza (Haafhd) was placed last season at three years old for trainer Michael Halford.
