Group 2 winning and Group-placed Shartash and recent Stakes hero Eliyass among four multiple winners in Aga Khan draft.
Shartash
The Aga Khan Studs will consign a quality draft of four horses to the much anticipated Arqana Arc Sale at Saint-Cloud, to be held on the eve of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
Heading the pack is Shartash. This three-year-old colt, by Invincible Spirit out of Group 2 winning Dubawi mare Shamreen, won twice as a juvenile, including the Gr.2 Railway Stakes, where he defeated subsequent Group 1 winner Blackbeard. He was also placed third in the Gr.1 Phoenix Stakes behind Little Big Bear and a close third in the Gr.1 National Stakes, before finishing his two-year-old season with a game fourth on heavy ground in the Gr.1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère.
Eliyass
More recently this season, he finished fourth in a closely bunched finish to the Gr.3 Hackwood Stakes at Newbury.
Joining Shartash at the sale is Eliyass, who in seven starts in 2023 has won six races and placed second once. The four-year-old son of Le Havre was most recently victorious in the Listed Grand Prix de la Région Grand Est over 2000m at Nancy on 17th September, defeating a field containing many previous Stakes winners.
Shahzad
Four-year-old Shahzad, a son of Dariyan, has shown great consistency to date, running nine times for three wins and three second places, including two victories this season. He also recently finished second by a short head in the Listed Grand Prix de Compiègne.
Unbeaten juvenile is out of Aga Khan Studs-bred Zeroua.
