Some of the Aga Khan Studs most renowned bloodlines will be on offer at the forthcoming Goffs Breeding Stock Sale, in a 19-strong draft that includes the dams of a Group 1 winner and of a Group 1 performer.

The quintet of broodmares are almost all proven in the paddocks, with the highlight being Shalamantika , dam already of Gr.1 Prix de l’Opéra winner Shalanaya and Group 2 winner Shankardeh. From the family of Shergar, this matriarch has been covered by triple Champion sire Redoute’s Choice.

Hazariya, winner of a Group 3 contest herself, has produced three black-type performers to date including Harasiya, a Group 3 winner and Group 1 placed. This mare is presented in foal to Fastnet Rock.

Listed scorer Tarakala has in turn given birth to Tarana, a dual Listed winner this year, and she is carrying a foal of Shamardal, while Zalanga and Zarkalia both hail from the maternal line which produced champion Zarkava.

Among the 14 fillies out of training are several winners and placed individuals, from more high-class families.

Unraced juvenile Eraminnda and her placed three-year-old half-sister Eriniya descend from the distaff bloodline of the famous “E” family of Enzeli, Estimate, Ebadiyla and Edabiya, of which the latter pair are now proven Stakes producers.

Alafzara and Alayna, are both daughters of Listed winners, sisters respectively to Group 1 winner Alandi and Group 1 placed Alasha.

Dalakhani, who is beginning to make a name as a broodmare sire, is the sire of Bahriya, a daughter of a Listed winner and granddaughter of Behera whose descendants include Group 1 scorer Bekhabad.

Shorana is a sister to three Stakes performers including this year’s Group 3 winner Sharestan.
