Outstanding pedigrees feature among Aga Khan Goffs draft

The families of champions such as Shergar, Alamshar, Darshaan, Kalanisi, Shahrastani and Top Ville, as well as Shawanda and Zarkava, will be on offer at the forthcoming Goffs Breeding Stock Sale. The Aga Khan Studs’s rich consignment features some blue-blooded broodmares, many of which have excelled on the racecourse.

A highlight of the draft is dual Group winner Four Sins (1447), a daughter of Sinndar and the half-sister to a Group 3 winner. Four Sins, who also finished fourth in the Oaks, is in foal to leading stallion Dansili.

Other Group winning mares to go under the hammer are Edabiya (1446) and Kassana (1449). Rainbow Quest mare Edabiya, in foal to Manduro, lifted the Gr.1 Moyglare Stud Stakes as a juvenile and is a half-sister to Group 1 scorers Enzeli and Ebadiyla, while Group 3 winner Kassana has already produced five winners including Gr.1 Irish St Leger heroine Kastoria.

Also on day one of the sale Dalataya (1442), a Sadler’s Wells half-sister to Dalakhani and Daylami and recent Group 2 second juvenile Dalghar, is due to pass through the ring. Dalataya is carrying a foal from the first crop of Arc winner Dylan Thomas. Also entered for the Saturday session are Dalniya (1443), a dual winner by Sinndar whose dam is the half-sister of Daliapour, Darariyna (1444), half-sister to multiple Group winner Darasim and dam of three winners, Kallithea (1448), a dual winner out of a half-sister to Kalanisi, Katirisa (1450), a winning half-sister to Group 2 winner and Oaks third Katiyra, winner Mandara (1452), half-sister to dual American Grade 1 scorer Manndar and Mandalara, dam of Mandesha, and Vayeva (1457), the full-sister to Prix de Diane winner Vereva and half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Valanour.

The Sunday session features Alaniya (1535), a daughter of Alhaarth and a half-sister to champion Alamshar, whose half-brother Alayan picked up a pair of Group events. She will be followed through the ring by dual winner Dixie Girl, a daughter of Green Desert and Group 3 winner Diasilixa, the full-sister to Diamond Mix and half-sister to the dam of Group 1 performers Diamond Green and Diamilina. Winning juvenile Lidana (1539) is a half-sister to dual Group 1 scorer Linngari, Takizada (1541) is a Sendawar half-sister to a pair of multiple Group winners, and Sinndar filly Rayina (1703) is a half-sister to unbeaten Classic prospect Rayeni.
