Masani third in Hong Kong Derby

Completing an excellent weekend for Aga Khan graduates, Beverly Green (formerly known as Masani) came with an impressive late burst to take third place in the Hong Kong Derby.

Unable to get a clear run, Beverley Green was held up until the furlong marker where he was switched to the outside, and accelerated well to finish a fast finishing third.

Sold for 250,000 guineas at the Tattersalls Autumn Sale in 2002, Masani promises to be a very good investment for his new Hong Kong owners, his third place in Sunday’s Hong Kong Derby having already earned them £112,000.
