This year’s Deauville August Yearling catalogue offers plenty of opportunities to acquire quality stock by the Aga Khan stallions, a total of 12 colts and 13 fillies.
There are three Daylami colts on offer, including a half brother to the Group 3 winner Perfect Hedge (216) and a colt out of Stakes winner Magic Play (375).
Linamix is well represented with 10 yearlings catalogued, amongst them a half-sister to Cherry Hinton Stakes winner Spinola (62), a filly from the immediate family of stallions Roi Normand and Luth Dancer (79), and a full brother to Listed winner Laxlova (108). A granddaughter of Elite Guest, dam of recent Gr.3 Anglesey Stakes winner Amigoni, also features (87).
A well bred Sinndar filly from the immediate family of Grandera and George Washington (207) is one of just two entries for her sire, who has enjoyed a very successful season to date with his first crop of three year olds.
Prix Saint-Alary winner and Arc runner up Behera is the grand-dam of a Kahyasi filly out of Behriya (256), and also of a Sendawar filly out of Behnesa (255). Another interesting entry is the Kahyasi filly Topka (204), who is closely related to Salselon.
One of the final lots to pass through the ring on the last day will be the Sendawar filly out of Strike Alight (476), herself a full sister to Flame Valley. Strike Alight’s dam is a full sister to Common Grounds.
Finally Kalanisi, whose first two-year-olds are now winning on the track, is represented by Lethe (355), a filly out of the German bred mare Leonara.
2025 has been another successful year for the connections of mares bred and sold by the Aga Khan Studs. No fewer than four Group 1 winners have flown the flag worldwide – including two high-profile juveniles.
