The Aga Khan Studs will be represented by a single entry in the forthcoming Goffs Champion Sale on Saturday 12th September.

Edelpour, a son of Mastercraftsman and dual Group 1 winner Ebadiyla, boasts high potential for a future career on the flat or over jumps. In four outings to date, the Dermot Weld trained colt has shown great talent, winning twice over a mile and a half, before taking second place in the Gr.3 Ballyroan Stakes at Leopardstown in August.

Edelpour hails from one of the Aga Khan Studs most prolific and prestigious families. His Sadler’s Wells dam, elected Champion 3yo Filly in Ireland in 1997, has produced nine winners, most notably Gr.1 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle victor Ebaziyan and Gr.1 third and Gr.3 Hong Kong Centenary vase winner Eyshal. Edelpour’s older sisters have given birth to a host of black type performers including Gr.2 Prix de Royallieu victrix Ebiyza and Group 3 winning hurdler Ebadiyan.

Edelpour’s dam Ebadiyla is a member of the Aga Khan Studs’ famous quartet of Group 1 winning siblings, with Enzeli, Edabiya and Estimate.
