Goffs

The upcoming February sales at Goffs and Arqana will comprise the first sales drafts of the year for the Aga Khan Studs, offering breeders access to a range of quality pedigrees just in time for the 2023 covering season.

The catalogue for Goffs (8th to 9th February) will also include lot 40, Dabirann, a just-turned three-year-old colt by Oasis Dream. A two-length winner last time out on 14th December, his family have known plenty of success in Australia in particular, including recently with Aga Khan Studs graduate Diamil, winner of the Gr.3 Summer Cup at Randwick on 26th December.

Three fillies will be presented at Goffs, including Sidiriya (lot 388), a winning daughter of Nathaniel from a family full of Stakes winning graduates, including in recent times Sonaiyla (out of Sinaniya), Marie's Diamond (out of Sindiyma) and Sikandarabad.

Lot 457, Kazakdaria, is also a winner and a half-sister to a Group performer, whose own dam is half-sister to Group 2 winner and Stakes producer Katiyra.

Zarkava

On 15th February at Arqana, the three fillies on offer include a granddaughter of Zarkava.

Lot 249, Zerziyna, is a half-sister to recent Listed winner and Group 1 performer Zeyrek. Her dam is a half-sister to exciting young sire Zarak, and with her second dam none other than the great Zarkava, her pedigree needs little more introduction.

Zerziyna is joined by two winning now-four-year-olds – lot 236, Visreyma, is a daughter of Kingman out of Stakes winning mare Visoriyna (a half-sister to Vazirabad), while lot 311, Darena, is by Exceed And Excel and hails from the star family of Daryaba, Daryakana and Dariyan.
