Three yearlings for sale in partnership with Arrowfield.
Lot 130 Dundeel ex Darousha
Three yearlings for sale in partnership with Arrowfield. Buyers at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale will get the chance to buy into the bloodlines of the Aga Khan, as three yearlings will be up for auction in partnership with Arrowfield Stud.
This partnership has most famously produced exciting young sire The Autumn Sun, a five-time Group 1 winner and record breaker who sold at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale himself for A$700,000 in 2017. His dam Azmiyna is a half-sister to champion Azamour.
Lot 285 Maurice ex Minamya
The three yearlings for 2022 all blend the blood of Arrowfield stallions with Aga Khan Studs pedigrees carefully nurtured for many generations.
Lot 130, a colt by Dundeel, is from one of the Aga Khan Stud’s most active current families. He is the first foal out of Darousha (Redoute’s Choice), a half-sister to Gr.1 winner and Haras de Bonneval sire Dariyan as well as to Devamani, a Grade 2 winner in the USA, and the Listed winners Dariyza and Darabad. Her own dam Daryakana was a Group 1 winner in Hong Kong and has progeny by Frankel, Siyouni, Lope De Vega and Sea The Stars to come.
Lot 400 Not A Single Doubt ex Sananda
Another branch of this family produced European Classic winner and shuttle stallion Almanzor, already the sire of a Stakes winner with his first Southern Hemisphere two-year-olds.
From the immediate family of Gr.1 BMW Stakes, Gr.1 Australian Cup and Gr.1 Ranvet Stakes winner Manighar comes lot 285, a grey filly by Japanese Horse of the Year Maurice. Dam Minamya, a daughter of Makfi, is a winning half-sister to Stakes winner Mila, with her second dam Minatlya a Group-winning sister to the aforementioned Manighar as well as to the dam of Australian Stakes winner Khan.
Elite Arrowfield stallion Not A Single Doubt is the sire of lot 400, a bay filly out of the winning Anabaa mare Sananda - the same cross that produced 2021 Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside. Sananda – a half-sister to champion race-mare and Stakes producer Sarafina as well as two further Stakes winners and two Stakes producers – has had three foals to race, and all have won in Australia.
Other horses from Aga Khan Studs lines to perform well in Australia include recent Group winners Four Moves Ahead, Ashman and Emeralds, as well as Zeyrek who won his first Listed contest in March.
2025 has been another successful year for the connections of mares bred and sold by the Aga Khan Studs. No fewer than four Group 1 winners have flown the flag worldwide – including two high-profile juveniles.
