Aga Khan draft popular at Deauville

The Aga Khan draft of fillies and mares once again proved to be one of the highlights of the Deauville December Sales.

...

The highest priced of these was Dalannda, a Hernando half sister to Group 1 winner Daliapour from one of the most successful Aga Khan families. She was sold to Anthony Stroud for €250,000 - her dam Dalara, herself a Group 2 winner, is also a three parts sister to Darshaan.

Also in the draft was a Kahyasi half sister to Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed Behkara, out of the Group I winner Behera. The athletic three-year-old filly, who has been placed several times, was eventually knocked down to Emerald Bloodstock’s Brendan Gallagher for €185,000. Another placed filly from an excellent family to reach six figures was Zanna, a Soviet Star half sister to two Stakes winners, including the dam of Classic winner Zalaiyka. Zanna was bought by Bertrand Le Metayer on behalf of Simon Hope for €120,000.
