Five generations of nurture and selection have made the Aga Khan Studs bloodlines some of the most sought-after in the bloodstock world and the operation has always demonstrated their readiness to offer high-quality fillies out of training or broodmares for public sale. Two recent examples of the latter are the dams of Group 1 winners Dar Re Mi (Darara) and Gilt Edge Girl (Tahara), both raised by the Aga Khan Studs before going on to succeed for outside breeders.

Goffs November Sale will offer the next opportunity for breeders to invest in some of the famous Aga Khan families, with 33 broodmares and fillies out of training entered in the Breeding Stock catalogue. The consignment features both proven and potential broodmares from the well-known lines of champions such as Zarkava, Sinndar, Azamour and Darshaan.

Amongst the most appealing profiles is lot 812, Behra, a Grand Lodge daughter of Arc runner-up Behera, who is already the dam of three winners including Grade 1 winning hurdler Barizan. Behra is sold in foal to first-season sire Montmartre who lifted the Gr.1 Grand Prix de Paris during his curtailed racing career. Lot 889 Miss Sazanica originates from the Jean-Luc Lagardère breeding empire. The daughter of Zafonic and Gr.1 Prix Jacques le Marois heroine Miss Satamixa, is the dam of one black-type performer and has been covered by Oratorio.

A pair of half-sisters to dual Derby and Arc hero Sinndar are offered as lots 890 and 891. The former, Sinndiya (Pharly) was successful herself on the racecourse and has produced three winners to date including Listed scorer Sindirana. She is in foal to young sire Teofilo whose first crop proved popular this season in the sales ring. The latter, Simkana (Kalanisi), raced and won this year as a three-year-old. Lot 1119 Simiya is closely related to this pair, being out of yet another half-sister to Sinndar. This three-year-old daughter of Azamour is a half-sister to Grade 2 hurdler Simarian.

Other interesting three-year-olds are the blue-blooded Takaliyda (Azamour, lot 892), Edallora (Refuse to Bend, lot 894), Daliyra (Refuse to Bend, lot 1120), Aramiya (Sinndar, lot 1155) and Adalawa (Barathea, lot 1156). Takaliyda is a half-sister to Takarian, a multiple Group winner in America and Europe, and Takali, a black-type performer in Europe and Saudi Arabia, while placed filly Edallora is half-sister to champion filly Ebadiyla, whose success on the track has been echoed in the paddocks as dam of Stakes performer Eyshal and Grade 1 winning hurdler Ebaziyan, and to Ascot Gold Cup scorer Enzeli and Moyglare Stud Stakes victrix Edabiya. Winning filly Daliyra is out of a half-sister to Daliapour and the unraced Aramiya is out of a half-sister to Azamour. Adalawa is out of a full sister to Champion filly Aliysa, also sister to the dams of dual Group 1 winners Alandi and Alamshar.
