Visindar confirmed his class by winning the Prix du Champ de Mars in fine style at Longchamp yesterday. Having cruised comfortably back in third place for most of the race, Visindar showed great acceleration to run his final 2 furlongs in a speedy 22.4 seconds to win by two and a half lengths. The unbeaten son of Sinndar out of Visor (Mr Prospector), is now 4-1 favourite for the Epsom Derby.

A half brother to Gr.1 performers Visionary, Visionnaire and Visorama (all by Linamix) this son of the dual Derby winning Sinndar looks set to provide his sire with another Classic winner following the success of Shawanda in 2005.

...

He could well contest the Gr.2 Prix Greffulhe at Saint Cloud in mid-May but no firm decision will be taken until Carlotamix has run this coming weekend in the Gr.3 Prix de Fontainebleau.
