The Aga Khan Studs enjoyed a fantastic streak of success on Sunday thanks to a treble of winners headed by Vadeni and a double of Group winners for Zarak.

Vadeni was a dominant winner of the Prix du Jockey Club when powering clear of his rivals to land the French Classic by 5 lengths. A son of Churchill trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, Vadeni was a Stakes winner at two and had recently won the Gr.3 Prix de Guiche in impressive style. He is out of Vaderana, a daughter of Gr.1 winner Vadawina by Monsun.

Baiykara

Vadeni gave his owner and breeder H.H. the Aga Khan an eight win in the Prix du Jockey Club, a special achievement in a year that marks the 100th anniversary of the operation created by the late Aga Khan in 1922.

Earlier on the card, the lightly raced Baiykara broke her maiden with style, winning the Gr.3 Prix de Royaumont by 4 lengths. She became the first Group winner of Francis-Henri Graffard for H.H. the Aga Khan. Out of a Montjeu half-sister to Gr.1 winner Bayrir, Baiykara is a daughter of Zarak who enjoyed a double on the day.

Purplepay

His three-year-old daughter Purplepay was an easy winner of the Gr.2 Prix de Sandrigham over a mile for Lael Stables and William Haggas. The filly had won the valuable Criterium Arqana at two before placing third in the Gr.1 Critérium International.

Rozgar completed the hat trick of wins for the green and red silks when lifting the Listed Prix Marchand d’Or over six furlongs. This progressive colt was recording his third consecutive win and has been thriving over the sprint. By Exceed And Excel, he is out a Stakes placed daughter of Gr.1 winner Rosanara by Sea The Stars.
