The Aga Khan owned and bred three year olds Alamshar, Dalakhani and Kalaman are rated among the top five of their generation according to Timeform. Currently highest rated of the trio at 127 is Alamshar, following his success in the Irish Derby. Dalakhani, winner of the Prix du Jockey-Club and a narrow second to Alamshar in the Irish Derby, is rated 126, while the improving Kalaman who was an unlucky runner up in the St James’s Palace Stakes, is rated just below these at 125p.

While Alamshar is bound for a rematch with Epsom Derby winner Kris Kin in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on July 26, Dalakhani will now be rested before being prepared for the Arc de Triomphe.
